The story behind Sonder
Sonder was born out of a desire to work differently.
To us, this meant deviating from the traditional style of working that is characteristic of many corporate design consultancies. This also meant shifting from a hierarchical structure of management, to a democratic, participatory style of self-governance. With this set up Sonder can always put the best combination of people with specialized expertise (rather than who is available) on a project, pulling from a wide network of professionals. With this lean organisational structure, Sonder keeps operational costs to a minimum. We do not aim to make profit off of the that work we do, instead we are guided by the impact that we can create.
