As a start-up coach with the Gaza Sky Geeks incubator in Gaza City, Ciarán mentors teams on design methods, and UX design tools, to ensure design is informing product strategy, and helping teams start new companies in Palestine and the Middle East.
Before joining Sonder, Ciarán was a Senior UX Designer at IXDS in Berlin. In 2016, he co-founded the award-winning service Refugee Text – a chatbot for refugees. His work has been featured in The Guardian and The London Design Museum, and he is an occasional speaker at conferences and meet-ups around the world.
Outside of work, Ciarán is a jazz piano player, spicy food enthusiast, and lover of vinyl. He enjoys travelling to new and unexplored places, hiking, biking, and books about all of the above!
