Jennifer Chinoye Amadi

I know I have a responsibility to ensure that developmental programs, humanitarian interventions and training are substantially equitable, inclusive and human-centred

Jennifer is a researcher and gender expert with over seven years’ experience. Her PhD thesis was on the social effects of sexual violence among women of reproductive age in nine Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Rivers State, Nigeria. Jennifer enjoys working in a multicultural team to generate evidence, design solutions and implement substantive needs-based strategies that engender equitable health, rights and well-being. She is abundantly capacitated in family planning, sexual reproductive health and rights, gender-based violence, strengthening philanthropic funding landscape for ending violence against women and girls in Africa and menstrual health management. Jennifer has worked with the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition (RHSC), Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH), Lorha Nakambe Consulting, and Coalition of Feminists for Social Change (COFEM).

Jennifer is a certified gender trainer by the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) and UNWOMEN Training Center. She embodies wellbeing, knowledge of oneself and accountability for one’s actions in her work. Jennifer was drawn to Sonder largely due to her affinity for working with a network of global creative independent innovators. Typically, Jennifer brings substantial energy and personal commitment to her work. She enjoys yoga, swimming, and empowering conversations.
